ECELAW is looking for people with a passion for environmental justice to join our team and help protect our communities and natural environment.
We are looking for support from:
ECELAW could not do the work that it does without the help of university students. Law students have contributed to our mission through a number of legal and policy research projects. Further, ECELAW's Board of Directors includes two student positions, deomonstrating our communitment to professional development and mentorship. Students can also assist either as volunteers or part time paid employees, funding permitting, and can help with communications, events planning, and other activities.
ECELAW is a partner of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in a credit course: the Environmental Law Placement (LAWS 2225), offered in the winter semester.
If you have an interest in environmental law and would like to contribute to our environmental law reserach activities or other projects, contact us today!
Much of ECELAW's successes to date can be attributed to the support it has received from the legal community in Atlantic Canada whose members have generously contributed financially, volunteered their time, given advice, and developed lasting friendships.
ECELAW is continuously seeking out new members of the legal community with an interest in environmental justice to collaborate with. Many opportunities exist, depending on your capacity and background. Reach out to us to begin the conversation.
If you have some free time and would like to contribute to a worthy cause, look no further! ECELAW consists of a small team that includes dedicated Board Members, hard-working staff and passionate student interns and can always use extra help from the community.
If you are interested in getting involved, please send us a brief email detailing:
- Your name and contact info
- Why you would like to volunteer with ECELAW
- What activities you would like to engage in (eg. administrative support, events planning, communications, etc.)
