Daniel Lavigueur joins the ECELAW team with a number of years experience working in the not-for-profit industry. A Montreal native, he earned a bachelor's degree in Human Environment and a graduate diploma in Business Administration, both from Concordia University. He began his professional career working with Al Gore's Climate Reality Project as a Project Coordinator and volunteer presenter on the science and solutions to climate change. Daniel has worked in East Africa for close to a decade, most recently as Executive Director of CEED Concordia, a youth empowerment and experiential learning organization with offices in Montreal, Canada and Gulu, Uganda. He is a founding member and current Board Member of the Mercy project, a federally registered charitable organization that provides access to health and wellness initiatives in northern Uganda. Daniel moved to Halifax in September 2016 and has since been an active volunteer in the community, working to support projects at the Ecology Action Center and Clean Foundation.
