Throughout her life, Julia has been passionate about the environment and enjoying the outdoors. She has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and International Development Studies from Dalhousie University. As part of her undergraduate thesis, she conducted primary research within Canada's sub-arctic to determine the impacts of climate change on the northern treeline. She has worked in the environmental not-for-profit sector for six years, managing provincial programs that deal with sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, watershed managements and youth employment. In 2015, she obtained a graduate degree in Business Administration from the Sobey School of Business at St. Mary's University.
