As part of our mission to enhance public knowledge about environmental law in Atlantic Canada, East Coast Environmental Law maintains an Environmental Law Inquiry Service. Through this free service, we endeavour to provide general information about environmental law to members of the public who request our assistance.
Because ECELAW is a small non-profit, our capacity to respond to environmental law inquiries varies on a case-by-case basis. If an inquiry raises complex or unsettled legal questions that cannot be answered with general legal information, we may not be able to provide a comprehensive response. Likewise, the Environmental Law Inquiry Service is not designed to provide tailored legal advice. By submitting an Inquiry Intake Form, you are not retaining East Coast Environmental Law as legal counsel.
Please be as detailed as possible when filling out this form because the information you provide will help us to determine whether, and in what capacity, we may be able to assist you. If for any reason we are unable to assist you, we will endeavour to refer you to an outside lawyer with environmental law experience.
The information you provide in this form will be kept confidential unless you consent to its release.
