While we remain committed to our previous comments and submissions on the Regional Assessment and the subsequent Ministerial Regulations, and we do not endorse the outcomes of the Regional Assessment, we believe that ongoing dialogue, communication, and engagement are important pillars on which to improve our collective understanding of the environmental impacts in the offshore environment and to strengthen the laws protecting the marine ecosystems upon which we all depend. We are also aware that this may be one of the last opportunities to shape decision-making related to offshore exploratory oil and gas activities in the Regional Assessment study area. Therefore, we provide the following comments on the 2022-23 Progress Report.
